When you’re famous, you often have more money than time. There are events to attend, boat decks to party on, and art to create. What happens when your schedules overlap, and you have two days scheduled to be on-set, but your calendar only allows for one?
This happened to Halsey, but it wasn’t a disaster. Cutting-edge technology bridged the gap by allowing Myster Giraffe to replace a stand-in’s face with Halsey.
The first day was spent shooting the key shots (e.g., glamour, closeups, exiting the limo, etc.), but the second day was spent in an NYC subway with her stand-in. She was cast to match Halsey’s likeness as much as possible, and the rest was up to Myster Giraffe.
What resulted was the first known instance of deepfake being used to grant someone a priceless gift;
